So...I meant to put this up a while ago, but about a little over two weeks ago I was told that I would be leading Core, actually teaching a lesson. The topic: Time Management and Priorities, a topic I had mentioned wanting to discuss in core. Although when I suggested it I didn't think I would be teaching the lesson. The whole idea of teaching and sharing my "wisdom" does not thrill me at all. Mostly because anytime I have shared my thoughts in a group it has felt like wasted breath. It feels like no one ever listens, of course it often feels like this just about anytime I talk.
Reluctantly I prepared for core. I pulled together some versus I found helpful and though of questions to put forth to the group. I even had tips for managing time. I am certainly no expert at managing my time, but I do seem to have the opposite problem of most people. I think that I have too much time and that I don’t fill it all too wisely.
Anyway, I started off the lesson a little shaky. I always get nervous before speaking to a group. As the lesson pick up so did the discussion. The girls really appeared to be into the discussion. When it was over, several girls thanked me for the lesson and told me I did a good job. The praise bothered me a little. “What did I do,” I asked myself. “Nothing,” I answered my own question. I only did what I was told to do. I think it scared me or perhaps just startled me that people actually listened to what I had to say and even possibly took it to heart. Still, I don’t take credit for it. If anyone was moved or changed by anything I said, it was the Holy Spirit that did it, not me. I did nothing except what I was told to do.
What I learned from teaching, though, is that the Holy Spirit is with me, guiding me, and opening people’s ears to the lessons that God would have us learn.

Possible people to Interview
So I need to interview some people of my choosing to ask questions about there ministry. I've thought about this quite a bit a long with some non related things. Anyway, I have decided that I would like to interview a few of the ladies from Northeast Church who I would like to get to know better as well as ask them questions about their ministry. These are also some people that were recommended to me by Brandon that I should get to know.
So first off I would like to interview Mandy, who I have recently begun to meet with weekly. I have enjoyed our meetings thus far.
I would also like to interview Leslie. I don't know a whole lot about her, but I gather she does a lot for the church seeing as she works there and seems to pretty much know everything that goes on.
Thirdly I would like to interview Tana Worsham. We have spoken before but not too much in depth.
So those are some 0f the people I had in mind to interview. I'm still working on the sorts of questions I would ask.

Project Proposal
So I know I've left this to the very last minute, but I find it very hard to settle on one thing. I have been thinking about different ideas a lot and trying to think of what would be easiest to incorporate into my work load. I know that I want to do something more related to event planning of a more social nature than something service related. I have a few ideas such as possibly a scavenger hunt or something else game related. I have yet to talk to Christa about it, seeing as it will probably be something Alpha Beta Fun related. After observing there plans though, I'm not sure they will want another event, so I plan to ask if they need help.
So I have a proposal posted.
***update***
After meeting a joining up with Alpha Beta Fun, I now know that I will be helping to organize the events. I will attend all events that I can and make sure that any supplies or equipment is at the events. Some of the events in planning and awaiting confirmation are:
Pictionary Game Night, Swing Dance Lessons, and Soccer Game day
More can be found on Christa's blog
I will also be helping with Valentathalon
